Fox has done it again!

Fox is televising the baseball All Star game, and even
though at least two of the players play for Canadian
teams, FOX chose not to show the traditional playing
of the Canadian National Anthem....they came back from
commercials in time for the USA Anthem only.

What a disgrace, yet not surprising I guess. :mad:

2. I dont know that this is such a big deal.

If we are talking nationalities in the game, we should also play the anthems of the latin american countries of the others? I realize that because MLB includes canadian cities, it extends to honor of both national anthems, but I dont see how fox is obligated to show it, if the game were in Canada, I would probably have a bigger problem.

the war in Iraq. I wouldn't put it past

only the U.S. Anthem be televised.

MLB has two canadian teams, and they are represented in the All Star Game. When a team from Canada is present, it's appropriate to play the Canadian anthem. To not show it is disrespectful to Canada.

And they did play it, they just didnt broadcast it. I would have prefferred it broadcast myself, id rather see that than see the bad interviews and stupid host bits, but I cant see the reason to make a big deal out of it. And at this point its hard to consider the Expos a canadian team.

6. Fox News is currently applying, through it's corporate cable company

friends to get a license to broadcast into there. Canadian regulators have turned them down before.

15. I think it would be proper

to play the Canadian Anthem.. just to show respect for their country. This shows how our attitude of "Its all about U.S." filters through to everyday things. We shouldn't have to think about this.. we should have played it across the USA.... even if it was only for the Canadians that happen to be in the states and can't get a Canadian station to watch....

17. Yea, could you imagine if the game was in Toronto

and the CBC didn't show the US Anthem....
That would dominate FOX commentary for
