He needs to be fired ASAP. Implies that AQ wants to attack before the election so that the Democrats will win. If I wasn't the Cheneying lazy bum that I am, I would write Newsweek immediately.

4. So let me get this straight....

In the United States there is fear that we would not know what to do if there were a terrorist attack on or before the election and therefore we should (A. Tell the public we have a plan in place to know what to do (B. Tell the public that as a part of our plan to make American citizens "safe" we should plan to cancel the election. Preferably for the Democrats only.

Ok, now lets try a little logic. In the country of Afghanistan, site of known terrorists, terrorist activity on a daily to weekly basis, an election is scheduled for October. Think it will come off in spite of terror? Yeah, that's what I thought too.

In the country of Iraq, site of our latest imperialistic venture,daily terrorist activity, election talk is all the rage. But I don't know, lot of terror, jeepers freepers, could be a bust unless Allawe is appointed as the elected official. Think they'll manage to have the election? Yup, me too.

Israel? France? UK? Lot of countries affected by terror. Somehow only Georgie's country can't be bothered. The great democratic state of the America's after one on soil terrorist attack falls apart. Wow. No wonder we look like a joke.

Here is my humble solution. Since there are some afeared of undue influence in the event of a terror attack how about a compromise. I say if the WMD's or Osama Bin Laden are located one month prior to the election I say delay it. Seems fair and ridiculous to me.

face persistant attcks are slated for elections. Your last comment about delaying elections should OBL or WMDs be found is right on the mark!
