what would jesus do, about the draft? |
|
just what is the current christian stance on the draft? would jesus approve? what if he were drafted himself? would he go? or would he be a draft dodger, like president bush?
if christ says turn the other cheek, and blessed are the peacemakers, and turn your swords into plowshares, how does the draft sit with him i wonder? and i wonder also what his stance would be on the genocide going on in his name?

Jesus taught us to follow the laws of Caesar unless they directly conflicted with the laws of God. But "love thy neighbor" and "thou shalt not kill" might take precedence over Bush saying, "God told me to send you to kill for my oil!"
Then again, the Old Testament God was pretty big on genocide, and he didn't fool around about it, either. Kill all the males. Take their property. Keep their women as your wives. But maybe he only gave his permission to Israel.

3. I'm sure that he's in favour of it |

Your Dear Leader claims to get inside info from up above, so I presume that him and Jesus have straigtened this one out.
"Take that you filithy Ay-rab! Jesus himself told me to send you all my poor black and hispanic kids. Taste my vengence, New Testament style!"

5. Well since Jesus talks to Bush I guess he would ... |
|
desert his champaign unit and go on a tequila and cocaine binge just like shrub. Then he would use his fathers powers to have his records "accidentally" destroyed.
