Reimportation of Drugs. Not A Factitious Question |
|
How come we seem to have to pass laws to stop the inportation of drugs from other countreis but at the same time we have to pass laws that ban the importation of other materials? Why is no country trying to "dump" their lawful drugs on us like we charge the asians with doing with steel?
It just seems that if the pharmiccutical industry is so rich why hasn't asia got into the business and started trying to drive out the domestic producers by dumping cheap product on us? Why has this not happened?
Here's an observation not based in research, just hunch. If our Congress were to put as much effort into erradicating illicit drugs in this country as they do serving the pharmacutical industry we would be as drug-free as Antartica within a year. The savings to the economy, and even the insurance industry, in reduced theft, strong-arm, burglary, embezzlement, whatever, alone would be greater than the cost of continued enforcement. So, where are the priorities?
