I replied NO because the only real possibility of any "event" is if the Shrub and his band of merry thieves are behind in the polls and they need a boost. Then they will launch some event to gain public sympathy and either support in the polls or at least an excuse to somehow delay or cancel the election until they can figure out a way to steal the election or be re-selected.
