I was just in Yellowstone about three days ago and I remembered reading about how he is allowing snowmobiles there. The park ranger we were talking to was PISSED about it and told us one of the biggest problems with snowmobiles in Yellowstone is that it creates tracks the wild animals like bears follow into more populated areas, such as Jackson Hole, then the animals have to be put down. Especially when they get a taste of human food (not eating humans, but eating human food!). It totally screws up the ecological balance of the place.

But you know, who the hell cares? It's just our first national park and a totally gorgeous place and a wildlife refuge. Who the hell cares, right?
