Pittsburghers & Other Panthers Fans: Let's Get Them Off Clear Channel!

As fellow Pittsburghers may already know, Panthers basketball and football has recently started getting aired exclusively on 104.7 FM, a Clear Channel Station. And not just any Clear Channel station -- this one is all right-wing talk radio, featuring Paul Harvey, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, and local wacko Jim Quinn.

For a while now, I've been thinking of starting a campaign to get Pitt to change to another station. Who's up for it?

Will they be broadcasting over the net? If so, please do not get them to change to a station that doesn't broadcast over the net. I would like to listen to some of my alma matter's gams since I don't live in Pittsburgh anymore.

Additionally, I don't think it is a good idea. If they are playing Panther games they are not talk radio drivel over the air waves...and that is a plus.

It's bad enough that I have to get Murdoch owned DirecTV to watch the Pirates on Murdoch owned Pittsburgh regional Fox sports channel. But I wish you the very best of luck in your endeavor. :toast:
