Bill Janklow (R-Murderer... SD) being sued in civil court...
by the family of the man he killed while driving in a drunken stupor. However, according to Gene Burns on KGO radio, San Francisco, a judge has ruled that at the time Janklow committed the crime for which he spent but 100 days in jail, he had been at political functions and was therefore working...which means any money awarded to the man's family will be paid by us...the taxpayers. The suit has been moved to Federal court and according to Burns, the family is livid. This move to Federal court will also limit how much the man's family can recover as it will be determined...by a Federal judge...how much the man was worth i.e how long he may have lived, how much he may have earned, etc.
I imagine Bernie Ward may have some things to say about this, and his show is up next...http://www.kgo.com
