Funny how Kerry leads Bush 322-205 in Electoral College...
...but the polls we normally hear are Zogby or Gallup or whatever where they're neck-and-neck.

Funny how everything is always spun to make Repubs look stronger than they actually are.

1. They are neck-and-neck
268 electoral votes are up for grabs. It could easily go either way.

13. Uh, one problem
if only you could justify allocating 70% of undecideds to Kerry...

Take that away and your elaborate theory falls on its face.

2. Silly me, when did California become weak Kerry?
I live in California and was pretty sure he has it sewn up to the extent that he doesn't even bother buying tv ads. What gives?

6. I'm not sure which poll you look at
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 02:08 AM by RummyTheDummy
But in the end, California will be there for Kerry by at least 5-7 points. Don't sweat it.

7. LOL, I wasn't sweating it...
I've been following the polls so closly that I don't even have to look at California much anymore. I was referencing the map linked with this thread - I think it's a little screwy.

4. Uh, remember that illegal immigrant amnesty thing? Bush proposed it?
To help the corporations? There is one large voting block in California which he targeted with this legislation, and it wasn't the rich.

8. Is this the same block of voters that put Arnold in office...
based on a campaign pledge to repeal a measure granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants? California is a fickle state, but we don't take Bush* too seriously.

9. Weak = 5 - 9%

Strong = >10%
Weak = 5-9%
Barely = 1-4%

The poll that site is using for its CA numbers (San Jose St.) has Kerry up by 8%. According to its definitions of strong, weak, and barely, that equals weak.

12. Gotta keep the "polls"
close so diebold can do the rest, barring that there is always martial law or the "cancelling" elections in Democratic strongholds to keep America "safer".
