If Kerry and Edwards can do Imus they can do Stern. . .
. . .afterall I feel Imus to be a bigot. Kerry and Edwards are on Imus right now, I am watching it on MSNBC. I know a lot of political types do Imus, but how can they feel that Stern is bad while Imus is good. Imus is a bigot.

2. You're missing the part where's it's time to reach out to moderates
Imus might be a bigot, but he also has an audience that may or may not be voting for Kerry as of right now. That's who he needs to be talking to - not us. We're already on his side.

3. So does Stern. . .
. . . there are a lot of moderates who listen to Stern. Its ok for them not to do Stern, but considering that Stern and Imus are enemies then they should neither or both.

8. Well
I do listen to Stern. I don't listen to Imus. But, I can understand why they would go on Imus rather than Stern. I wouldn't particularly want to associate myself with the sexist shit that Stern does do. He CAN be really funny, and he's totally rallying behind Kerry. (And surprisingly, when Stern's fans were telling him to get mad for being "snubbed" by Kerry at Jon Bon Jovi's party last month, he said his "ego" didn't matter. What did matter was getting Bush out of office.)

So, I personally think that Imus is less scandalous than Stern, and that would work better for the average, undecided American. Stern is definitely more edgy, but a lot of people are turned off by what he has to say. Hell, even though I listen to him every day, I get turned off by half his show!

4. Because there are too many people afraid of sex
Imus, Coulter, the Savage Weiner and the rest can say any hateful, disgusting thing they want and nobody cares. But since Stern talks about sex, half the country gets outraged and they would hold it against any politician who would talk to him. Clinton got a few blow jobs and they thought it was the end of the world. There is some kind of problem with people and sex in this country.

5. I don't think Stern is necessarily bad.......
even though I don't watch/listen to him but Stern is definitely more controversial than Imus and they really do need to be careful. Especially since the goper's are trying EVERYTHING they can to see them fail....Just look at what the repubs tried to stir up over the Whoopi comments recently at the stars fundraiser.

6. Are you kidding? After this Whoopi thing?
C'mon. If they can demonize the two of them appearing with Whoopi Goldberg while she makes a few innuendo, what in gods name do you think they will do if they appear on Stern.

Never mind the fact that Pataki, Gulliani, and Christie Whitman have all called in or appeared on the show.
