Eight Line Headline in Daily Mail says it all
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 01:11 PM by Jacobin
Billions SPENT . . . scores of British soldiers KILLED . . . a nation PULVERIZED . . .11,500 civilians dead . . . no WMDs . . . disgracefully FLAWED intelligence . . .that 45 minute claim WAS bogus . . .that dossier WAS sexed up . . . spymasters DID cozy up to No. 10 . . . Parliament and the British public WERE misled . . . but Lord Butler concludes: NO ONE'S TO BLAME!

The Butler Report. The British whitewashing committee counter-part to the "report" we just witnessed in the U.S. which failed to mention even the Office of Special Plans.

Love the headline. Love it love it love it. Mr. Blair, may you go down to defeat.

4. We'll never see something like this here. Isn't the WashPost trying
to ridicule concerns about cancellation of elections? We are without representation. The four powers are all aligned.

11. Awesome. Thanks for posting the links and the
other headlines.

What I wouldn't give to have some headlines like that in the U.S.

14. Sigh. It must be nice to have a free press.
"Similarly critical headlines appeared in other newspapers of all political stripes, including some that described the Butler report as a "whitewash."

Wait!
They called it the Tabloid Daily Mail. Long live the Tabloids!

I knew when the Enquirer had a postive picture of Kerry the tide was a turning.

Nowhere in the US mainstream media do you see the guts of that simple word, Whitewash.
