Bush Schedules Last Minute Trip to All White Upper Peninsula of Michigan for Tuesday July 13, Having Said He Couldn't Attend NAACP convention in Philadelphia This Week for "Scheduling Reasons."

Bush is the first President since 1920 to not address the NAACP convention, which happens this week. He declined through his scheduler in early July to attend NAACP this week, citing "scheduling" problems.

However, it was only this past Thursday July 8, that Bush confirmed a trip to my home turf, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, scheduled for Tuesday July 13, right in the middle of the NAACP convention. He will address up to 11,000 at an indoor dome, with tickets given out free only on Sunday.

The UP of Michigan happens to be the whitest area in America, or very close to it. ( Iowa, the whitest state at 95% white; Eastern UP has 5.3% African Americans. See: http://www.michworks-upnorth.org/BSP.htm.) The UP also figured into the affirmative action debate at the Univ. of Michigan that went to the Supreme Court, because UP students get points at U of M, and these will all be white students.

Bush's schedule was "too busy" for the NAACP, but he had time to fly to the remote and virtually all-white UP and do a rally that no one had even thought of until a couple days ago.

Incidentally, Bush was in lower Michigan on Wednesday, July 7, so this will be the second trip to Michigan in less than a week.

2. He said he's a "ewe nighder"
"nighder" is an obscure Texan term relating to wearing boots with loose tops, going out at night, sneaking up on female sheep from behind, and ...
 (A cattle man he's not.)

4. Just so he's not a turtle man
We now know that * doesn't need to worry about the dead girl or live boy in his bed - his followers could handle even that, they have drunk so much Kool-aid. But watch out if it's turtles.

3. I hope he drove through Iron River!
Some person there has two HUGE yard signs, one that reads "Bring the Troops Home Now" and the other posts the military death count.

It was heartening to see it.
