3. My all time favorite warrior princess, Congress Rep. Maxine Waters.
People used to look at me like I was nuts every time I praised her, but my opinion of her has never changed.

9. Sure. I remember Barbara. Nixon Impeachment. Eloquent. Fiery.
Her famous speech: "My faith in the Constitution is whole"...or something like that.

One of the best.

16. I just saw Farenheit 9-11
Right there in the very beginning of the film, where the women of the Congressional Black Caucus took the lead on the Florida vote fraud/disfranchisement thing and nobody else would back them up.

They were heroes. Still are. We could use an entire U.S. Congress full of more like them. I'd do whatever it takes to get more elected.

Here's to Cynthia McKinney winning her seat back! :toast:

23. Missed it on CSPAN
I don't have cable as a matter of choice and because my employment has me out of town more than not.

But...

If what I saw in Farenheit 9-11 was what happened, that was truly a sad day for the Senate.

22. African Americans are
the life, blood, and soul of our party. And we better start acting like we know it. They are our most loyal members, and the only ones, I feel, who emerged from the 2000 elections with the ability to hold their heads high. :dem:
