this Kerry-Edwards "gay" thing is out of hand |
|
On CBS Late Late a whole pic segment of pretty shots of Kerry Edwards and the slogan "Vote for Bush -- You know he's straight!"
On Letterman, the same kind of treatment. Many pics of Kerry and Edwards hugging, etc.
Who is feeding this? Who started it?

7. yEAH! They are two manly men who feel comfortable about their manhood |
|
Right! They are two manly men who feel comfortable enough with their own manhood and with each other to express it to one another and to the rest of us. Their dynamics certainly is one that visually brings hope to the people. It offers something other than the WAR-THUGS-KILLERS subtext that Bush's speech rallies sells the people time and time, and tired time again, and again and again.
I say FLOWERS AND KUDOS TO THE KERRY-EDWARDS TICKET...and just imagine if FLOWERS AND KUDOS is how the Kerry-Edwards ticket makes people feel here in the United States, how will it make people in IRAQ FEEL? WILL THEY BE THE ONES TO GET FLOWERS THROWN AT THEM (RATHER THAN BULLETS) BY THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ?
BUSH BOY AND HIS DAD WOULD DIE FROM ENVY. THAT IS WHY THEY WANT TO STOP THE KERRY-EDWARDS TICKET EVEN BEFORE IT GETS THE CHANCE TO TAKE ROOT AND BLOSSOM.AND KNOWING THE BUSH FAMILY EVIL EMPIRE THEY ARE GOING TO TRY EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO STOP KERRY-EDWARDS. Including, if they have to, to postponing or canceling our November elections.
Should that happen we should all still go out to our precincts with paper and pencils demanding that they let us vote.

Given gravitas by various pundits, and is now part of the zeitgeist.
And no, I'm not Al Gore.

4. Typical Puke Pig tactic . . . . |
|
They will use whatever they think will create what they think are negative associations with candidates that aren't fascists. What they don't seem to understand, or are unable to learn, is that what may be negative or abhorrent to them is ONLY negative etc. TO THEM. I love the way the defense of marriage thing blew up in their faces in the Senate.

I view the Letterman spot as showing how ridiculous it is to think they are gay. It's a slam against Drudge and other ignorant Americans. Letterman is very anti-Bush.

team chimp is going to attack with his standard simpleton model of he's the good doer and those against him are evil doers.
Lets take a look at his track record.
Kerry/Edwards are:
evil liberals evil voted against the troops (the 89M) evil they are gay (lets see this comes out the same week the FMA is up...coincidence lol) evil will raise your taxes evil flip flop on terra evil blah blah
chimp then spits out the polar opposite.
So get used to the 12 yr old chimp campaign. Yes, it is very sad but he has millions of dollars to spew this crap out for the ignorant masses.

6. This idiocy has no legs because it's so immediately stupid to anyone.... |
|
...who hears it. It won't have any effect on the election, because no one, even RW pukes, takes it seriously.

9. the RW pukes are grasping at straws |

They can't beat Kerry and Edwards on the issues, so they resort to infantile ad hominem attacks on Kerry and Edwards' sexuality :eyes: If someone called W and Cheney "gay", you know the talking heads on FOX news would never shut up.

Actually, we don't know that he's straight. He's supposedly having an affair w/some male mayor.

ALWAYS good for a whole bunch of laughs. Other people have climbed onto this shit. Dennis Miller, for one.

.... this tactic will BACKFIRE big time in the minds of all but the stupidest and most homophobic of Americans.
Americans know full well that Kerry and Edwards are straight. This comes off a nothing more than a cheap slander, one that is transparently so to almost everyone.
As usual, when the right wing paints themselves into a corner, they just keep painting.
