Who saw Howie Carr smirking over Kerry's wealth on C-SPAN this AM?

Read Thomas Frank's piece in today's NY Times for some insight on Howie's phoney populism. He doesn't mention Carr or even John Kerry, but Franks gives a brilliant summary of what Republican culture war-mongering is all about.

3. A Fish Out of Water

Howie is definitely out of his bag on c-span. On his talk show he controls the call-ins, but he could not do this on c-span. His statements were roundly put to the test by the callers. This is a model to flush out the national ticket. It can not stand the light of day when their phony and false ideas are put to the proper scrutiny. Contrast that to the performance of Jim Braude who followed and comes across in a much more informed manner.

He talked about Kerry generally favorable but was not opposed of discussing his weakness. He also balanced off Carr's presentation. He also gave his views on the logistics of the upcoming Democratic Convention. His time is worth a view on the c-span site when it is archived or it repeats itself starting at 10am EST.

for the women Kerry married he would be deadbeat! Forget all his accomplishments BEFORE he was married. And didn't I read that Kerry's first wife is alive and well but suffers from major depression and she divorced him so his life would be better? The more strident these "populists" are, the more you know they are just hanging on to a dwindling wave. A couple years ago, everyone was pissed off, angry...wanting to kick ass...people like Carr preyed on this just like this regime did, and now feels it's bullet-proof to either attacks or having to proof their allegations. They've been getting away with it for so long.

Fortunately Carr's on in a market that is overwhelmingly Democrat and his little treehouse doesn't shed much bird poop...but there are others in smaller, RED markets that listen to their local hate mongers with religious zeal. These are the clods you have to deal with in the office who got bored with Top 40 radio and think that listening to this drivel is both amusing (since it plays on all sort of hate buttons) and makes them feel "informed".

The real hypocrisy of this asshole and other wingut hate radio types is how defensive they get when Bunnypant's past is question, and any doubting of his assholiness is viewed as a personal attack. Carr will act all offended when someone calls Bushyboy AWOL, then turns around and slurs Kerry's military service. Or, there's the favorite wingnut whipping team...the Clintons. Note how Carr "dismissed" a caller saying how he hoped they enjoyed reading "My Life", as if that was the ultimate slam.

These lizards are the conduit of lies and foster the hatred and class warfare.

I'll never forget the televised investigation of U. Mass President Billy Bulger (and his knowledge of his crook brother Whitey).

Carr sat directly behind Bulger and was in full view for the entire proceedings.

Did anyone else pick up on Howie tried to equate John Kerry as a giggalo (sp), without an income, homeless, homeless, homeless, homeless, living out of his friends homes, etc, and then his final statement "when he sold his condo on the hill (Meaning in DC)," after marrying Theresa Heinz???? He either had a home (condo), or he was homeless. Carr must rely on the support of those that do not read or listen to the actual words of this progagandist.

He was on C-SPAN as the spokesman for Bust yet hee was not interested in any objectionable comments regarding George W. Bush. He had no trouble throwing out the Rove neocon script without any proof or justification. If he lies about Kerry being broke and homeless, why should anyone in the world listening to C-SPAN believe anything he has to say about MASS politics.

This just proves how right Michael Moore and F 9/11 is.
