Seriously, I have mixed feelings about this. I don't like Martha's personality but admire her for being tough as nails and for being able to make it on her own. And for being a democrat.

I don't like that she lied (apparently that is what she was prosecuted for). But in this culture of Repug lying and killing we have been anesthesized to moral issues (in my opinion). The DEGREE of the transgression is what impact us anymore, not the fact that people TRANSGRESSED--it is like we EXPECT them to transgress. Not good, but I think a logical consequence.

1. The guy who outed Martha, a repig Senator from another state....

not even from NY. It seems that the bush criminals have assigned government/Senators/religious leaders to investigate and charge known high profile democrat doners of crimes. First Martha, now that high profile guy of New Jersey, and Woppie. Like always, the media eats up the lies without investigating, and hide (like treasoner novak) behind their media bullshit amendment. Exactly what they did to Prez Clinton and Hillary.

I hope Woppie comes out with guns ablazed. She's been quiet but I'm waiting for her to come out.

2. I'm ambivalent too.

I happen to like Martha's garden products and hope they'll be around for years to come. However, after my banker relative gave me a run down on Martha's lengthy finance background I realized that Martha should have known better. You can't treat her as a common person because she possessed professional knowledge of the finance world. My heart goes out to her, but she will recover better than most.
