Even if we don't use SlimFast products, we should send
protests to the company for firing Whoopi Goldberg.  They were
entirely too quick to knuckle under to the Republican party.

7. Don't knock the stuff

It's the same as Ensure only cheaper, and my dying mother said it tasted a helluva lot better. It kept her alive for her last two years.

However, I'll be boycotting their products until they have a change of heart (if they have any among top management).

I am throwing all my Slim Fast products in the trash, too.

I gained 40 lbs during menopause, and lost it with slim fast products. I still use their products pretty often.

Do any of you know anything about a slim fast competitor who might have a good product?

Maybe one of their competitors can hire Whoopi, too.

8. Any generic will be about the same

as will the pricier Ensure. They're all the same stuff we keep people alive on in hospitals, only the stuff we use for tube feeding is unflavored.

Or you could go to a health food store and just buy protein powder and make a smoothee with fruit juice and a little water. Some of the powders are vitamin enriched, and most should be equivalent. You won't be getting a lot of the preservatives and other crap that's in the Slim Fast. My favorite fruit juice to use is peach nectar. I suppose you could also use milk (I'm allergic) and either cocoa or coffee. Some of it will be labeled "weight gain," but don't be fooled. If you use it the way you used Slim Fast, the result will be the same.
