Just wondering how many cops/le personnel we have here. If so what are the feelings about Bush around your Department/Office?

Never understood why cops end up voting repub unless it's a social conservatism thing. Big Union in the LE field. God forbid the rich pay their fair share of taxes so we can get paid to keep their $2 million estates safe :)

which is why I think the older fellas were dems. Younger ones always seemed much more angry/gungho, maybe that is why they identified with repubs.

I have 2 sisters who are police officers. Both are independents, with obvious interest in women's issues, etc, though neither of them is particularly politically active. In the June primary, lots of their fellow officers changed their party affiliation from (mostly)Independent to Democrat in order to vote for a Dem candidate for county sheriff. This is encouraging to me. On the other hand, I know there are some Promise Keepers on the force, too. (*ew*) thx - lori

With a few exceptions, almost all his fellow officers were Dems.
