Molly Ivins has a new book!

I didn't know until I saw it today - the title, "Who Let the Dogs In? Incredible Political Animals I Have Known". I've read only the introduction but I highly recommend it. Another fine piece of work by witty Miss Ivins, if I do say so myself!

And BTW, you've got to love the cover!

Molly Ivins (not Ivens) has covered politics in Texas for decades. She was one of the few writers who didn't fall for the "compassionate conservative" bullshit in 2000 because she KNEW it was bullshit.

She wrote a book in early 2000 called "Shrub: the short but happy political life of George W Bush". It certainly didn't say Bush and Gore were the same.

Last year she noted in her dry way that if more people had bought that book before election 2000 then maybe we wouldn't be in today's situation.

As far as making a living off of Bush* in the white house, her best selling books were in the 1990's, so go figure.
