Did anyone ever figure out the "J-Word" thing
that Doonesbury was referring to? I just went to look at todays cartoon, but he seems to have dropped it.

2. No, and I've been wondering
about that myself this week. Maybe we should all put our collective heads together and try to figure it out or come up with something ourselves!

3. "Jackass" was the only thing I could think of
but that seems rather tame.

14. Isn't jag off two words?
I'd use a hyphen, but I'm afraid the grammar Nazis would come after me.

8. I think the joke is just that Bush mixes up expressions, and the...
...Bush character meant to say "F-word."

BUSH:
So how is Dick going to do up against Edwards?

ADVISER:
It'll be a challenge sir.

Edwards is a slick, sunny, Energizer Bunny with charisma to spare.

Dick is a dour, secretive old guy with a history of four heart attacks.

BUSH:
Can't he just tell Edwards to go J-word himself.

ADVISER:
J-word?

9. Jaysus Christ!!!
That's what I thought it was. There was a time that was considered a swear word, or eh taking the lord's name in vain, or eh, I dunno, makes no sense.

13. I'll bet the punchline is
in tomorrows strip. Sunday is a stand alone strip, but Monday to Saturday tend to be threads.

18. Looking for something "tougher" than the F-Word ...

... so naturally the half-wit would thing that using and the g,h,i,j,k,l,m ..., z: - word would fit the bill.

Never use the z-word. That the worst word you can say because there are no more letters, that is unless you use the greek alphabet ;-)
