Just got done watching Outfoxed
i bought the dvd on tuesday and got it today. Truly scary stuff, Faux are the absolute masters of propaganda and repetition. I thought one really interesting point that i hadnt thought about came from one of the media watchers that watched Faux everyday and kept notes, the point was that they never do any reporting on poverty and people who really do need the help of the government. Also, there is a segment on "Campaign Carl Cameron" showing him chatting up Dim-son before an interview, it seems Carl's wife worked for the 2000 Bush campaign.

5. Mine arrived Thursday or Friday, I watched it tonight with my
husband. He wasn't really aware of how it is that Fox News works, he just knows that he doesn't like listening to it.

Now he knows!

He was really impressed with the DVD, at least the parts that he could hear (when I wasn't screaming, ranting, etc. at O'Reilly).

It's good.

6. My favorite parts were on the behind the scenes with the "Fox Watchers"
i thought they were accurate to a fault and very funny, i used to feel the same anger when i used to watch fox news.

8. Yeah, the whole incident with Glick pissed me off all over again
i remember actually seeing that show. O'reilly is pond scum but i think Brit Hume and Insannity are actually worse. How about that bullshit phone interview with Murdoch with him telling whatever loon host he was on with how great things were in Iraq? Did you see George Carlin? That was funny.

14. Carlin was GREAT!
He told the Faux News Bimbo the way it was...Loved that...love Carlin. As for Murdoch, he is a TRUE danger to our society. If he isn't stopped with his media purchases....we are finished. Look at the damage he's done already with Faux News and his RW newspapers and radio stations. I liked when he was testifying before the committee and said his network was "fair" because they have both conservatives and Liberals and he was asked "Who are the Liberals?"...uh, uh, uh, "Alan Colmes and Greta Van Susteran (?)." Then he says..."I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder." hahahaha! Really? Ya think? :eyes:

Brit Hume is and has been a backroom player for the RWers for a loooong time. He was directly involved in the RW, 8 year slime of Clinton. He's part of the Ann Coulter, Richard Mellon Scaife, Jonah and Lucianne Goldberg crowd. He was DIRECTLY involved in the crap they were doing. You're right....he's worse because he pretends to be something he isn't and the RW sheeple are too stupid to see it.....with O'LIELLY, you KNOW he's an ass.

15. Exactly!
With Blow O'lielly out front being the screamer Hume is free to to distort, lie and repeat under the radar and with an air of being the elder statesman, he's got total cover.

10. Thanks for the review! Especially glad to know there are poverty issues
highlighted.

The group I signed up with at moveon was canceled, and I signed up with another one, but it got overloaded and there will only be seating on the floor, which my back and my elderly neighbor I was going to take wouldn't be able to do, so ..... I was very disappointed.

However, I was able to find the phone # for the first person, and she is very gracious, and said when she gets back in town, I can borrow the video, so I *WILL* be able to see it. And, also share with my elderly neighbor.

After reading your review, I'm more anxious to see it than I was before.

Thanks for posting!

Kanary

by a vounteer on the movie project, it's on the behind the scenes segment, just want to be clear about that, don't wanna mislead cause that would make me like....oh i dunno...Fox?

13. Didn't mistake you for a fox...... ^_^
Thanks for the clarification.......... wish it was better covered, but it's so ignored by the DEMs that I'm glad to see *any* mention. Who knows....... maybe the mention in the movie will even get some Dems fired enough to SAY SOMETHING.....

Your mention inspired me to write to an email friend.........found out there is a houseparty near her, and hope she's able to go.

:hi:
