Byrd on Meet the Press

Senator Robert Byrd on "Meet the Press" today reminded us that all the secrecy and loatheing of the U.S Constitution, by the bush administration, is in part caused by the carry over on 5 previous Nixon administration members. In other words, the assult on our Constitution by Nixon , stopped by Congress before and causing Nixon to leave office, has caught a new breath of life , in the bush administration.Nixon spoke about suspending elections due to the Vietnam War protests. It is no surprise , that we see the same attempts by this administration. The Democrats are never accused of limiting constitutional rights, quite the opposite. The Conservatives, and Nixon then , were moderate, forming the EPA, and other regulatory agencies which were needed to curb industry's pollution and greed ( price controls). The neo con cabal has shown distain for the common good, and more importantly, the laws formed by the Constitution, which the constitutional scholar Byrd , is well schooled . Byrd is right; the ghost of Nixon's avarice has come down to haunt us once again.

1. Unfortunately,
the same people who have no respect for our Constitution are in control of every branch of our government this time around. Funny that BOTH the Nixon and Chimp administrations are REPUBLICAN. Wake up sheeple!

I missed Byrd this morning, but I will catch him tonight on CNBC.

3. I've thought the same thing
He's like Cicero battling to save the last vestiges of the republic from vanishing.
