A long forgotten report from the Washington City Paper in 1998 has resurfaced to cast a not so pleasant light on the Nation's #1 yellow journalist.

It appears that Matt Drudge was an illiterate loner in high school that barely managed to graduate.

It appears that the future RW media shill was a deranged, scary outcast at his school. An unidentified classmate had this to say:


"At Northwood High School in Silver Spring, young Drudge was the epitome of the dark, brooding loner. "Not only was he anti-social and anti-establishment, he had this chip on his shoulder," says a high-school classmate. "And he had a real sinister demeanor about him. 32. I went to High School with Drudge

Northwood High School in Silver Spring, MD from 1982 to 1984. He was known for being in band and the drama club and dance troupes. All of his friends were girls and he was very "effeminate". There is certainly nothing wrong with any of those things and they don't necessarily mean a guy is gay but when he emerged onto the national scene during the Lewinsky scandal I was surprised at his social conservatism. I mean, a guy who was hassled as much as he was in school for his presumed sexual orientation, even if it wasn't true, ought to have developed a certain amount of distaste for the intolerance of the right wing. So I'm going with self-hating gay on Matt Drudge.
