Safliar .....Hey Will.. How about including the facts of a case for once!
Please note how the repukes are using the Senate Report to discredit Joe Wilson! I've read several op-eds about the report and those on the right who write them conveniently leave out very important items such as:

The 3 repukes on the Senate panel state that because Ms. Plame offered up a letter that her husband was qualified for the Niger trip, then that means she pushed him for the job. Funny though, the CIA and Wilson say that's bullshit and it was the heads of the CIA that wanted him for the job. Of course guys like Will Safire write shit like this:

<snip>
Contrary to his indignant claim that "Valerie had nothing to do with the matter" of selecting him for the African trip, the Senate published testimony that his C.I.A. wife had "offered up his name" and printed her memo to her boss that "my husband has good relations" with Niger officials and "lots of French contacts." Further destroying his credibility, Wilson now insists this strong pitch did not constitute a recommendation.

What Will fails to tell his readers (on purpose) is that the 3 Democrats on the Senate Panel did not sign off on the statement because they felt (rightfully so) that the letter from Plame was not a letter pushing Wilson for the job. She did not offer him up for the job.

Will Safire is a disgrace to the profession of Journalism.

1. wouldn't
the 9/11 commission discredit Joe Wilson themselves if he needed to be discredited?
