1. Nope
I think no protests would send a loud message that we support the GOP and its actions.

I think it's a real stretch to think the world would look at a total lack of protest as a protest.

5. I have to say I agree
I don't plan on going myself, but I think that New Yorkers and anybody else who wants to should register their dissapproval at President Bush's attempt to dishoner the deaths of 3,000 in order to improve his election chances.

3. hey, let's also not vote as an ironic slap at their electronic voting
scam. nothing says "We're Americans and won't let our country be taken away!" like staying home and watching it all unfold (or unravel) on the TEE VEE.

4. Sorry, but this would only make the GOP look better.
They'd get all the press without interuption and be able to say the protesters were afraid to show up.

There needs to be more protesters - more than the cops can handle.

7. OK, you go tell the hundreds of thousands
of people that have made reservations that you think this is a bad idea.

Let us know how it goes.

8. Large Protests!!
Large protests will send a message that many Americans are fully aware that the Iraq war was colonial piracy and not a liberation, that Bush and his aides are war criminals, that the Bush junta thinks artificial persons have more rights than real people anywhere in the world and that Bush sits in the White House as the result of a coup d'etat, not a legitimate political process.

9. Tell that to all the angry people
Too many are outraged at the way the GOP is trying to capitalize on the 9-11 sentiment. How can you quell that kind of anger? Has any American ever engendered this kind of hostility? I can't think of a one (well, Clinton sure p-o'd the right-wingers, but their indignation was so misplaced and ridiculous it was embarrassing).

No way to stop the rising tide, dirty right winger better run and hide.

13. Yes, agreement, or fear or complacency
This is definitely an appropriate time for real protests.
