Edited on Mon Jul-19-04 04:18 PM by Walt Starr
Iran 2004 is the same as Iraq 2002.

6. If it plays out like Iraq did in 2002
It'll be a lot of talk and bluster before the election in time for the GOP to hand the Democrats their asses, then invasion in 2005.

And lokie lookie, the draft boards will be online to reinstate in April, just in time to gear up for a June draft timeframe which will give them the green light for invasion of Iran next year.

And the Democrats are going to play right into the bullshit yet again.

7. Lots of people believe the BS about not changing President in times of war
They'll release more and more propaganda to make sure that we all do our patriotic duty and vote for Bush.

Since the Iraq war is "over" now (that is what Bush and freepers are claiming), they'll have to start a new war. As he said himself "I am the war president" ...

Get your daughters and sons, wives and husbands, mothers and fathers - all people ages 17 to ? - ready for the draft. Bush needs more soldiers to die for him and his "noble" cause - his holy crusade.

9. With all the talk recently (including here) of the mistake
of attacking Iraq instead of Iran, is it any wonder how the Bush Admin now has the balls to threaten Iran? Dems shooting themselves in the foot, or Repub instigated echo chamber effect? Likely both.

Look for a massive air assualt soon. We don't have the troops for a large ground invasion, but certainly have enough air assets in the region to make that not nessessary. Iran is basically surrounded.

10. This is like the Mars landing
Three days of relentless flogging, the public either collectively yawns or threatens to storm DC for such an arrogant, clueless waste of money, and the RNC goes back to plotting how to keep its greedy, blood-stained mitts on the levers of power.
