1. The big question is how stupid is the average American.
We just spent almost 2 years of lies - that actually have been proven lies - by an idiot in the White House. 60% of the US thought Iraq did 9-11. Now 50% think Iran was involved.

How can we raise people that stupid? Is it the school system? The fact that they don't have to think or use logic while watching survivor? Maybe I missed something somewhere and most people really do like wars and not peace. What is wrong with our country???

3. The source of the information was the commission, not aWol
That probably explains why a few percent are more willing to believe it.

7. But that same report says Iraq wasn't involved and yet still
40% still believe Iraq was. I bet if the question included any Middle Eastern Muslim country the answer would be about 50% yes.

6. Propaganda machine working at full throttle
http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/07/19/bush.iran/index.html

Bush said the CIA has found no sign of a direct connection between Iran and the suicide hijackings that killed nearly 3,000 people.

"We will continue to look and see if the Iranians were involved," he said.

<snip>

The magazine said that commission investigators have found that Iran had a history of allowing al Qaeda members to enter and leave the country across the Afghan border.

But the report does not offer evidence that Tehran was aware of the plans for the 9/11 attack.

<snip>
....

They'll release a bit of propaganda each day, making their case that it is necessary that we go into Iran. Give them a couple of weeks and the American people will believe any BS about Iran's WMD, their al Qaeda link, and their involvement in 9/11.
