I'm sick of DU Kerry bashers bashers

Let me note that I'm voting for Kerry. I have been ever since Wesley Clark endorsed him.

I find it insulting that other Kerry supporters seek to root out all complaints against Kerry by just saying 'Shut up!' What makes you different from the fascists you cry out against? You wish to stifle the debate, squash any resistance, and get rid of any dissent. Why? Because you just don't like it, it makes you uncomfortable, and it makes you not feel good. Grow up! Stop trying to bully people. If you want to attempt to change the minds of people, give them information! That's what we liberals do. Take in information and use our own minds to make some kind of truth out of it. Every time you tell someone who has a problem with Kerry to just go away, you are copying the Bush administration in every way. Relish a good debate instead of feel threatened. That's the heart of the American way!

When Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin had arguments over the Constitution, they didn't tell each other to buzz off. They worked together to form a better document, a better nation. We are not going to form a better nation if we as Democrats take back the White House and Congress and tell everyone else who doesn't tow the line to "Fuck off!".

Senate, fuck off, remind you of anyone?

If you are going to bash the Kerry bashers. At least do it in a constructive well thought out manner. If you are welcoming and un-Bush like, you may even sway a vote or two along the way.

2. I too always thought that a discussion board was to debate issues

not stifle it. From what I can tell 90% or more of us on this board will vote for Kerry but with varying degrees of enthusiasm. I don't think there is anything wrong with discussing issues in a reasonable way even if it differs with Kerry.

it is someone who is bashing. And there's been a lot of bashing of Kerry here with hyperbole and rhetoric that has nothing to back it up. Criticize all you like.... but f*cking stop the bashing.

Don't like flying off the handle based on MISLEADING HEADLINES or misquotes from the increasingly right wing Associated Press.

AP misquotes Kerry, people go ballistic saying it proves Kerry is a "fascist." I dunno, I thought most DUers were skeptical of the media. I guess not when it is fuel for Kerry Bashing!
