Anyone noticed the uptick in RW chain e-mails

My ignorant rethug friends have been pounding me with all these lame Anti-Kerry e-mails. I'm about to blow my stack if I see another one. I told one friend to Fuck off after his latest. Has anyone else noticed how the right wing hate machine has ratcheted up these things recently?

1. It's Been Going Full Bore Where I work

I work for a major defense contractor in Colorado Springs. As the sole Democrat surrounded by RepubliKKKans, I was getting those lame e-mails on a daily basis. Finally, I sent the following as a "reply-to-all" response to an e-mail about crosses on federal property that was sent to everyone in my group:

To everyone in the group -

I think by now most people in this group have become aware of my political leanings. So in the interest of group tranquility (and as we get closer to Election Day), please leave me off the distribution list if you plan to send out any anti-liberal or anti-Democratic messages.

4. They've certainly landed here with greater frequency!

Here's an idea, when you get one hit Reply All, type LYING LIAR WHO LIES!! and hit Send, instead of posting the crap here. Then if you get a juicy response, post that, along with the freepers e-mail so we can ALL respond. How many more of these RW Lie-mails would we get if we posted the person's e-ddress here and 40,000 DUers responded back.

That shit would end quick.

5. If this is taking place at work

and going around between co-workers, alert the supervisor or boss. Most places have policies regarding this as it is a misuse of company time and property as well as could be considered harassment.

Funny story: At my part-time job, I'm always behind on the e-mail because I'm only there on weekends. Some RWer sent a Bush as a man of God one around and I was trying to forward it back to the boss with a note about it's inappropriateness. Accidentally, I hit "reply to all" and my comments went around the office. :silly:

I told all my friends and family that I am in email contact with not to DARE send me that crap unless they wanted three anti-bush emails for every piece of tripe they sent me.

It stopped quickly. My mother in law didn't believe me, apparently, but she did after I flooded her in box.

8. I have a republican brother.

I have no idea why he ever proclaimed himself a republican because that party honestly doesn't stand for anything he stands for, but he is what he is.

He used to try to debate politics with me when I was literally 13 and 14 years old. Well, I've come a long way and this time around he doesn't even breach the subject with me because he knows where I stand and he doesn't dare even go there with me. We probably wont even speak until after the election because he knows he can't win a debate with me anymore.
