3. Well, Miss America does represent....
The kind of women they like to see.

An object to be stared at by lascivious morons who are frightened by women who are not passive and "pretty".

Of course, this is spoken by me, a woman who is, frankly speaking, never going to fit into the idea of beauty in our society; being more than a size 2 (OK, a lot more), over 30, and real, not fake breasts.

Oh, and I have a brain and I'm not afraid to use it!

Maybe she'll introduce Arnold, since he'll pro baby be groping her backstage anyway.

6. Only sexy in a sterile, barbie doll sense. And Chaste, to boot.
Mmmmm, mmmm. Anyway, does anyone pay attention to Miss America anymore? I mean, except for the idiots who hang around Vegas and get outraged when Linda Ronstadt mentions Michael Moore.

Wanna know who I find sexy?

And, can't forget:

Okay, well, maybe not "sexy". But she sure kicks ass.

5. "Hi here! I'm here to be all perky and patriotic...
...because G*d forbid you think about the OTHER people my age, the ones who need jobs they can buld a future on, and the ones coming back from Iraq draped in flags, and all the other young people whose future is being stolen by you punks."

(Miss America takes the wig off and reveals Huey from Boondocks doing a "White Chicks")

8. They must be desperate to get a woman.
Some woman -- any woman. Personally, I think it is great that they are including a young woman among the speakers. But Miss America? Yeaks. No matter how intelligent, competent and wonderful she is, you have to ask if they chose HER as opposed to some other equally intelligent, etc. woman because she makes better bait for their male voters.

"A former Miss America is among those added Tuesday by the Republican National Committee to the line up of speakers at its upcoming New York convention. Erika Harold, who in 2003 was crowned Miss America, will speak."

She was awarded the Presidential Prayer Team award, too.

11. Well I hope she doesn't give the usual "I want world peace" speech...
...that concept doesn't play too well to chickenhawks.

So will she be wearing a bathing suit with heels that night?
