Any results coming in for NC GOP primary?
Edited on Tue Jul-20-04 06:47 PM by mandyky
Please tell me they did not nominate that crazy Vernon Robinson, in the 5th district. I checked State Forums/NC/, Politics and Campaigns, and Campaign 2004.

I know we are not a GOP discussion board, but Liz and Rachel on AAR's Unfiltered have said so much about Vernon, I am just hoping the GOP in NC come to their senses and do not elect this "black Jesses Helms" to represent them...

7. This might be a better link
I'm not sure if Forsyth County includes all of district 5. Here's the North Carolina board of elections results link:

Robinson currently in third with 22%. Fellow homophobe Virginia Foxx is in the lead.

5. Just saw on tv @ 8:30
With 9% in: Broyhill and Robinson are tied. I think at 27% each.

I'm dying to see how this plays out. If no one gets 40% of the vote, they will have a runoff.

9. Thanks - Harrel won the Dem nod with 71%
Why did I think this was a GOP vote. Virginia Foxx has 31% and Robinson 32% at the moment, the rest have dropped to single digits.

8. I thought it was general primary. G's and D's.
Little do I know. Although I live in NC most of the time, I have decided to register to vote in SC. We have a condo in downtown Greenville, Dr. D has an office there (and in Chicago and Dallas), the 8 O'Clock Superette is there, and the DMV is easy-easy-easy in SC!

11. Looks like a runoff to me, too!
With that Vern Robinson in 3rd place after Foxx and Broyhill..
Hopefully this will help Harrell!

13. I actually wonder if Robinson wins
That Harrell would have a great shot at winning the whole thing.

12. If I hadn't heard Robinson's interview with Unfiltered,
I never would have believed he was for real. What a frightening a*hole!

14. He is that and more.
Edited on Tue Jul-20-04 10:14 PM by BlackVelvetElvis
He pulled all kinds of stunts as alderman and was generally rude and divisive towards citizens. Why should he be any different?
Watch Robinson in his full glory. Watch the Twilight Zone ad:
