1. I'd say a combination of drug and alcohol abuse
combined with the stress of running against Kerry and perhaps some mad cow, since I understant he is a big beef eater.

8. No Way
His father was able to put a coalition together that contained Muslim countries. He set a goal to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.

He then had the brains to listen to the Generals and Colin Powell to use the maximum number of troops to do the job, and then get out of Iraq.

This F**king Idiot did the opposite, listen to the wrong people.

W is drug damaged, no doubt about it.

Probably Antisocial Personality Disorder, made even worse by all the drugs and booze and lack of treatment. That's my guess.

Truth is, when Shrub stole office he was on top of the world, "the world was his oyster", as they say. He got away with stealing the election, and the country was more or less united in fear after 9/11, and united in their will to bring Osama to justice. But things deteriorated rapidly, when it became clear that Bush and the Repukes had their own agenda, that he was determined to create an unnecessary crises in Iraq, and that his main goal was to take care of his corporate cronies at the expense of the well being of our country, and our reputation in the outside world. In short, he's washed up, the game's over, and he knows it.

9. He is a sociopath.
Edited on Tue Jul-20-04 08:17 PM by Tandalayo_Scheisskop
That became crystalline while I watched F911 and it played the "I am The War President" clip. I know sociopaths, Malignant Narcissists especially. One destroyed me financially when I worked for him. I know how they walk the walk and talk the talk. The impression and realisation that I seen just that posture, that delivery, those vocal inflections, that tone of voice...It made me dizzy. Really.

He's being found out. Every day. More each day. That is completely and utterly unacceptable to a sociopath. THEY will define their reality and the realities of all around them. No one else. There is no objective reality save the one they define by their force of will. Anyone who does not accept it is without worth. No one may dare question them.

But when it all begins to unravel, as it it inexhorably does, they flail. They lie and return to the steaming pile of shit that is their lie again and again, because they must. It is their reality. All they know.

The climax and denouement is never ever a fit sight for decent eyes. Far too ugly.

I have seen it. I enjoyed it immensely. But then, I never said I have decent eyes. ;-)

23. Justin Frank lays out a good case for this
his book is fascinating - * is a textbook sociopath, with paranoid tendencies as well. His first impulse when asked any question is to lie. His entire life at this point is a fantasy, created by Rove and all the other yes-men. In his mind he isn't lying, because whatever he says, his minions will pretend that it's true.

It's pretty sad and if he's still in the WH in February the US is going to pay a heavy price.

10. The drugs/alcohol, whether past or current damaged
the frontal lobes (the screening area of the brain, which helps with inhibiting antisocial behavior). His inclination is behave in an uninhibited way (i.e. throwing tantrums, telling people to cheney themselves, etc.). However, he has to go against those strong instincts every time he's in public...It's hard work, and beating him up. Which is all good. MKJ

He's always been protected by the media but as time goes by it's impossible to keep up the illusion. We're simply seeing what he's always been.

28. He is shaking in his shoes because Daddy is hollering at him for every
mistake he's made since being selected president. In other words Bush 41 is livid. * fears his disapproval more than anything and Dad is the one person who can tell when Sonny's lying just by how many times he blinks and stammers. * is afraid that Jeb will become the favorite and says over and over "Dad always liked you best." One day he will lose it and blurt out at a press conference that the 2000 election was rigged by his brother and father. He will claim not to have known anything about it until some secret papers turned up in Al Franken's mail and next thing he knew he was a Word puzzle in the New York Times.

Make words from Republican: public, pub, ran, nap, can, relic, ban, nab, pecan, nil, near, rape, pier, par, pie, ear, pea, pal, pure, lean, bun, run, pun, lice, reap, pear, learn, clear, clean, plea, pelican, pubic, rice, nice, nail, lean, blue, crap, bear, bean, rub, cruel, liar, leap.

"Pick out the words that mostly apply to the former president."
