asshole Norm Coleman to attend Democratic National Convention
it doesn't say whether he will actually be inside the convention. but i know in 2000 david drier was inside the actual democratic convention at the staples center in los angeles so coleman will probably be inside also along with some other assholes like chambliss.

<WASHINGTON (AP) Sen. Norm Coleman will go to the Democratic National Convention next week to criticize the party's presumptive nominee, Sen. John Kerry, and defend President Bush from attacks.

"I anticipate that Senator Kerry will be going through an extreme makeover," Coleman told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "I'll be there to lay out the facts: This is where he's been versus this is where he says he's at today."

Coleman, a Minnesota Republican, will be part of a team of GOP senators, including Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, John Cornyn of Texas and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

"The focus should always be the record," said Coleman. "If questions get raised, I'll be in a position to say, 'Here is the record,' and let Americans make their choice. With Kerry, you never know what his position's going to be on a given day." >

I do hope the Democrats have the good sense...
... to throw his ass out on the sidewalk, for what he said in comparing himself to his predecessor....

What the hell?

Is this normal, do republicans always get to show up at Dem conventions to put our nominee down?

2. Yep. And we get to crash their party.
It's a public event. The "truth squad" movement in the 1980s broke the old gentlemen's agreement about leaving the other side's convention alone. I think the loss of this particular truce will end up being a net plus for our side.

4. i was surprised when i saw David Drier there in 2000
i saw it on local news and i was like "what the fuck is he doing at the DEMOCRATIC convention". and it's not like he was hiding or keeping a low profile either. he was talking to the media from inside the convention.

i'm not sure how they get in though. it sure isn't as delegates or anything like that. maybe they buy tickets ?

8. I am so sick of this garbage
First, the Republicans get Nader on the ballot; why is this legal?

Then the stop the paper trails for voting; how can this be allowed to happen?

Then they have Democrats like Zell Miller speaking at their convention; why hasn't he been released from the party?

now they have their most rabid and sickening representatives to be on national television during the Democratic convention.

It will be a miracle if this election doesn't erupt into chaos again.

10. Norm!
Ah, the Empty Suit, standing and bloviating outside the Fleet Center. Should make for some giggleworthy TV. What's the matter, Normy boy? Nobody'd let you speak at the Republican convention, so you figured you'd just crash the Democrats' get-together?

I expect to see him wandering around outside the facility wearing a sign:

"Will Pontificate for Face Time
I Have My Own Mic"

15. That fucking Nazi Colemna is run straight out of the RNC--Imperial Clone
LITERALLY.

I recall an article from the early days of the Empire before Reichstag II, when a reporter overheard two gleeful Busheviks describing how they ran Susanne Terrell as they did Coleman (and likely, Ahnold) by formulating damned near EVERYTHING they said and did from the Ministry of Propaganda.

Even his comment about the Kerry Flip-Flop follows the regimented Goebbelsian Plan.

And are the Democrats doing the same thing with the Imperial Convention atop the graves of the 3,000 murdered by Bushfriends?

I don't even have to see to knwo the answer is "no".

Anyone want to confirm the obvious?
