Fencik or Connors to run v. Obama?

They just announced on the local sports radio outlet that former Bear Gary Fencik and tennis legend Jimmy Connors are being approached to run for the open Il Senate.

It's a little wierd that the GOP can't seem to find anyone with any legislative experience to run for the seat - their only hopes are old sports "heroes".

They are trying to go woth a big name that has money to back it up. It would be impossible to raise money in that race since Obama appears to haev it in the bag.
