How do you think convention timing will affect the election? |
|
Right now it looks like Kerry has a slight lead over Bush. He will probably get some kind of bump from the Democratic Convention. But then Bush has the last say since the Republican Convention is last. Do you think that Bush can catch back up, or are his numbers now as good as they're going to get?
I'm guessing that as more people get to know Kerry, and that he is capable of doing the job, more undecided Americans will turn his way. How he comes across at the convention and beyond will be very important.

2. Kerry's numbers will go up |
|
Bush will get a little bump from his convention, but not much and it will be short lived. As you suggested, Kerry's numbers will go up because people are looking for someone else to vote for besides Bush. They just don't know much about Kerry yet. When the rest of America sees how presidential he is and how energetic Edwards is, it will be all over for Bush.
