"Fahrenheit 9/11" - a "bootleggers" view.
Okay, I'm not a bootlegger, but I managed to get my hands on one of the copies of the film floating around online. Since Michael Moore has already said he doesn't mind people copying and distributing the film so long as nobody's profiting from it, I made a VHS copy and it is now circulating around my office.

To everyone who borrows it, I make one request: If the film makes an impact on them, they have to go to the theatre and buy a ticket. They don't have to sit through it a second time, they just have to buy a ticket.

So far, it has changed hands four times. Since then, I have been shown two ticket stubs and a printed confirmation of a $10 donation to John Kerry's campaign.

Once the DVD comes out, and hopefully if Michael Moore price-points it at $9.99, I'll be buying handfuls of them to give away.

2. lol
feeling loopy, I read "handfuls of them to give away" as "handcuffs for them to give away".

Aaah, daydreams :)

4. Really nice job, CD.
And it's true - Michael Moore has said he doesn't mind if people download the Internet version of the movie.

Michael Moore was not interested in making money off this film (of course, it's nice that it does!) But his main objective was to get as many people to see it as possible.

Because he knew that once they did.......
