Schwarzenegger: "Hasta la vista special interests."
(San Diego, California) In an appearance before supporters at the Cheesecake Factory in San Diego's Fashion Valley Mall, Wednesday, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger implied he has no intention of repeating his recent "girlie men" remark.

"There's a new comment: We're here to pump you up," Schwarzenegger said when asked about the earlier remark. "Hasta la vista special interests."

Schwarzenegger has accused Democratic lawmakers in Sacramento of holding up passage of the state budget because they are beholden to special-interest groups such as unions and trial lawyers.

Speaking at a mall food court four days earlier in Ontario, Calif., Schwarzenegger had said, "If they don't have the guts to come out here in front of you and say, 'I don't want to represent you, I want to represent those special interests, the unions, the trial lawyers' ... if they don't have the guts, I call them girlie men."

1. So is that all we are going to get

for the rest of his term?

A recitation of catch phrases and throw away lines from his movies
AND SNL skits that were doing parodies of Arrrnold?

Geez.

I can't wait for him start saying "I'll be back" after we kick his
ass out of office.

4. I have a suggestion

Show a picture of the gropenfuher... with a caption of
"Met with Ken Lay and other Enron executives while developing
a position on California's energy policies..."

And then play the Enron trading tapes as audio.

And then move the caption to "Reduced recovery amount in the
suit against Enron from 9 Billion to under 2 Billion".

and the closer "Can we afford a second term?"

that might be enough.

I have little faith remianing in the Imperial Subjects of Amerika, though I hold out hope.

6. You get the politicians you deserve..
Arnold's campaign was a friggin circus and not much of a political campaign from what I saw of it, catch phrases and rock'n'roll. But at least the weather in California is nice.

I guess we all "deserve" Bush, too.

BTW, welcome to DU.

And the weather is nice here.

5. Republicans
are awfully immature (and I'm not talking about their daughters, ie Bush's)...

So let's here. Ahnold is incapable of actually discussing anything so he spouts off a bunch of catch phrases from his movies. Cheney, OTOH shows he can't even do that. He just mouths of an obscenity.

Where the hell are the RW moral purists? Should they be asking, "What about the children?".

11. Special interests: Defense and energy industry...
...HMOs...Insurance...religious right...

- Who is Arnold and the GOP to lecture about special interests? Unions and trial lawyers represent the common person...whereas the GOPs special interests represent corporations trying to enslave the people.

- This is part of the GOP's plan to make sure The People have no one representing them in the workplace, in court and (in congress). Arnold is simply a robotic mouthpiece reciting talking points.
