SPOKANE, Wash. -- The co-founder of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream is on the road, towing a 12-foot-tall effigy of President George W. Bush with fake flames shooting out of the trousers of his flight suit.

Ben Cohen says it's an acceptable way to point out what he calls the president's lies. The parody is a reference to the children's rhyme, "Liar, liar, pants on fire."

Cohen says you don't call people liars in polite society. He says it's much more dignified to say, "Excuse me sir, your pants are getting a little warm, don't you think?"

Next stop on the Pants on Fire tour is Spokane, Wash.

1. Ben and Jerry sold some time ago

and no longer have anything to do with the brand.

But the sentiment is correct.

Checking out the itinerary, I see P.O.F.2 is scheduled to be in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Election day. Wish it could have been there this week when our fearless mistater declared he wants to be the peace *president. ayep.
