EJ Dionne: Stand Up, Fight Back

I finished this book last night, and I think John Kerry should read it. It points out exactly why the Democrats have been getting their butts kicked, and provides a game plan for framing the debate to our progressive advantage. Most Americans are indeed liberals, but they don't even know it, and it's up to liberals, progressives and Democrats to remind them. The book isn't terribly exciting reading, but it does outline a sensible approach to winning back the hearts and minds of the American people, and offering a real alternative to the divisive approach provided by the so-called "conservative" Republicans.

(One thing about the book that I found puzzling was the fact that Dionne thinks that Bill Clinton wasn't impeached. One would expect someone ostensibly as well informed as Dionne would know the difference between impeachment by the House, and conviction by the Senate.)
