Has anyone ever noticed what seems to get replies?

Put out something positive, and .........hardly a word.

Negative and/or controversial posts generally get people going. Like my 'did Bin Laden do it?' post. 35 fast responses to my tinfoil thoughts.

Now, if I had just posted, "Michael Moore is, like, sooooo cool!!!", I'd be sitting alone out in the cold.

Now I'm just on a bunch of ignore lists.

a post that gives people an opportunity to respond with kindness or concern or support...... well, sometimes gets responses...... but mostly not.

But, if people think they have an opening to attack...... it's like a bugle call....

Now, you can pooh-pooh that, or excuse it, or rationalize it, but..... I think it's something to think about, if we *tRULY* want to build a different society.

As opposed to just getting rid of *.

9. Becoming perverse?

Some of us are already there, but that isn't necessarily evidenced by what DUers respond to or don't. There are too many factors involved - whether we're at work or home, online or not, in a good mood or a bad one, etc. However, I would say that giving angry, frustrated people a chance to lash out relatively harmlessly will draw more attention than threads that only allow one to agree with them or say "That's great!" to.
