I got the exact same reply, from the same exact person, as someone else posted on another thread.

Ao I'll share with you MY reply to Kathi Eckler, Customer Service Representative with Slim-Fast...

Dear Kathi,

Thank you (I guess) for your courtesy is sending a very-obviously form-letter providing no real information or insight into your company's decision to "Dixie-Chick" a well-known comedienne for doing what she does best...making jokes!

Thank you for proving to me, once again, that "politicians are supposed to have a thick skin" refers ONLY to politicians on the left, who constantly suffer a barrage of attacks (mostly trumped up and untrue) from the radical right wing.

I'm betting that if Arnold Schwarzenegger had been your spokesperson, you'd not have axed him for his "girlie-men" comment. Only attacks against the left wing seem acceptable to your company.

Therefore, you should know there WILL be a consumer backlash against your company for your actions against Ms. Goldberg. I, and anyone I can influence...will no longer purchase Slim-Fast...or anything ELSE manufactured by Unilever, Inc.

You see, your company now has a negative image in MY mind...an image of one that supports right-wing radicalism, one who supports the squelching of free speech (when said free speech insults someone on the right.)

SO...since I doubt you really even care about the feelings and sensitivities of your left-wing consumers, or potential consumers on the left side of the political aisle...and you so obviously support the squelching of free speech, by punishing Ms. Goldberg for doing what she does best (telling jokes) I say to you...Have a nice "right-wing" life. My position stands. I shall NEVER purchase any item manufactured by Unilever, Inc, now or in the future, because I do not do business with fascists, nor supporters of fascism, such as exist on the right-wing of our nation's political spectrum.

Thus, I will no longer by Pond's products, Dove, or Bird's Eye, just to name a few. They, too, are manufactured by your right-wing, fascist supporting company...and you will not recieve the benefit of MY business so long as you so obviously take sides against me and everything I stand for.

Have a nice right-wing life, and I hope for your sake that the right-wing fascists can make up for the business Unilever, Inc. has lost from me, and anyone else I can influence.

They will transcribe your comments.. I talked to a rep for about 10 minutes. The took down all the info about the freerepublic threads. Shje was very interested when I told her about their "astroturf" LTTEs, and their poll skewing methods.. I gave her urls that proved my assertions.

emails get not very desireable resluts.. usually a bounce-back form reply,..

a snail mail letter or a transcribed phone call are more llikely to be read/heard..

I suspect that I got the same form email letter as you, so mind if I borrow a few lines from your reply? Heck I even told them that I am a guy could actually use slim fast, but won't because of the firing of Whoopi Goldberg (who I don't really like all that much). Thanks and keep up the good fight!
