sadly, dick the toe-sucker is probably right. Looking at it objectively, Smirk's actual performance should have him at about 10% approval. Throw in F911 and his unfavs should be about 80%. But the media is just too powerful. It will non-stop * campaign from now until November, and that will tip the scales.
Today on may way home from work, both SPORTS talk radio stations were spewing RW crap and WH talking points. The constant barrage has got to have an effect after all.

I am suprised Bush's approval ratings are not higher....think about it. The so-called liberal media is basically sponsoring this presidency....they are campaigning for him 24/7 and they only can get him a 49% approval ratings. If the media talked up Clinton, Gore, or Kerry 24/7 their approval would be in the 80% range. There are so many serious scandals that the liberal media could investigate and demand that Bush be accountable and the media does not do that....it is not clinton, a blue dress, and a BJ!

3. Gallup Approval and Horse Race Numbers for last 6 Incumbent Presidents |
|
In a poll conducted 7/26-28 1996, Bill Clinton has an approval rating of 57%.
In the horserace he led Dole and Perot, 48-30-10.
In a poll 7/23-24 1992, George Bush had an approval rating of 31%.
In the horserace Clinton led Bush 50-34. (Perot had dropped out)
In a poll conducted 7/19-20 1984, Ronald Regan had an approval rating of 51%.
In the horserace, Mondale led Reagan 44-42.
In a poll conducted 8/12 1980, Jimmy Carter had an approval rating of 32%.
In the horse race, Carter led Reagan and Anderson, 35-30-11.
I had to go all the back to 6/8/1976 to find an approval rating for Gerald Ford which was 45%. For some odd reason unbeknownst to me, that is the last time they asked for approval until after the election.
There was plenty of horserace data however. In all poll conducted 8/3/1976 Carter led Ford and McCarthy 53-30-6.
I had to go back to 6/20/1972 to find an approval rating for Richard Nixon which was 56%. The next one conducted was a composite poll through all of November which showed him at 61% approval.
In a survey conducted 08/01/1972 Nixon led McGovern 54-34.

5. How in the world could 52% have a favorable opinion of * ???? |
|
To me that is the biggest proof of how frigging dumb Americans are. Clearly, a majority of Americans are clueless imbeciles.
I fear Nov. 2 for that reason.
