if this county's Democratic Party headquarters is out of everything...
then things must be looking good

I went to a block party/concert thing in neighboring Gastonia tonight (Gaston County, North Carolina) and as I was walking down Main Street on the way to where it was, I happened to see a large sign over a storefront that said "Gaston County Democrats" and there were lights on and people in there, so I decided to stop in and ask if they happened to have any stickers or buttons or anything, and a nice older woman told me, "We can't keep anything here at all. As soon as we get new stuff in, we run out the same day," and she was very apologetic and asked me to come back, but I was like, "Don't worry about it, if you're running out of stuff, that's a good thing." Odd thing, pretty much everyone in there looked older (50+), a group that tends to be pretty conservative here, I think. By the way, Bush won that county by 34 points in 2000.

2. Hullo neighbor!
I used to work at the county party in Mecklenburg. They're having the same "problem."
