12. My point is, why tell people to read your byline that CNN is really FOX,
yet support someone on the payroll of CNN. That's something a Republican would do, that's my point. What's your point?

17. Who's bashing Democrats? One thing about being a Democrat
is we ASK questions when when SEE that something is not right. What's getting old is hypocrisy, not debate.

3. Did He Tell the "Fill the Potholes" Joke?
That one cracks me up every time! I never get tired of hearing it!

Or, if someone is named George, and he says "Great name!" That makes me laugh so hard I want to pee my pants!

4. They showed Kerry
I think it was CNN that I watched. It doesn't matter that they show Bush...I just walked through the room where the TV is on and watched for about five minutes. There isn't much clapping going on. Bush sucks as a speaker. I don't see how this speech is going to help him.

5. I don't recall them televising Kerry's speech yesterday.
"the ownership society" - he's blatant about the politics of privilege. Rights for sale. Property is King and labor is for slaves. It's appalling that people don't see the moral and ethical bankruptcy of this posture.

11. UL is composed of Business People

The NAACP is far more of a grass roots group. The UL is respected by African Americans. They try hard to do good things. Most are in business to make money of course. They would probably clap as I said in another thread a few days ago. What they said to him in private is another thing.

Knowing the Chimp as we all do he was "out the door" in a flash and no one got a chance to ask him anything. Well, he may have promised their leader to give him Colin's job if he could help deliver the Black vote.

That delivery the UL can't make and will not try to make. Ninety percent of them will be voting for Kerry IMO.

16. Dirty Little Secret: The Urban League exacerbates class division
The Urban League is akin to a Chamber of Commerce ... a black (good ol') boys club. As many have accurately observed, the real division in America is between the 'haves' and the have-nots' - the privilege of property. The distribution of wealth in the US is inequitable and becoming more so. The Holy Grail of Republican politics is that wealth has a 'right' to become more wealthy from the labors of others. DimSon blatantly talks about the "ownership society" and advocates even more privileges for "owners."

Wealth is even more inequitably distributed in black families than any other. Not only do black families have, on average, 25-30% less wealth than other families, the distribution of family income is even more inequitable among black families than white or Hispanic.

The Repugnants are appealing to greed, and greed is a human trait, not a race-based trait.
