When I said boosh didn't protect America on 9/11, they said I was a conspiracy nut. Now I have been proved to be correct: "Those in high places in the government should have done more to stop 9/11"
When I said my country should not invade Iraq because of non-existent WMD, they said I was un-patriotic for not supporting the president. Now it is well known that there were no WMD in Iraq and I was correct to not support the lies coming from the president.
I have been called treasonous, stupid, and crazy, because I saw the truth the whole time, and now, as the truth leaks out little by little, I have been proved to be neither stupid or crazy, and to be more of a patriot than even I ever imagined.
After I get my apology, we can talk. Until then, you accusers will be regarded as second class citizens who need not be heard or even listened too. Until you do the right thing you are the treasonous, stupid, and crazy, who continue to destroy my country and my freedoms.
Befree
PS... not you Du'ers, you'se guys are the real Patriots.

Case in point: 2003 SOTU. When he brought up Nigeria I yelled "He just lied!" When he brought up aluminum tubes I yelled "He just lied!" When he brought up Iraq/Al Queda connections I yelled "He just lied!" and so on.
At the time, my husband, looking at me as if I were deranged, said "He's the President, this is the SOTU. There's no way he's lying!"
Now my husband looks at me in awe.
This also brings up the question, how can little ol' me know he was lying at the time, but none of the administration, Congressmen, nor security agencies knew? What's with that?

Every lie, you drink, and every time he mispronounces "NUKE-YOU-LER", two drinks.
Fifteen minutes later, the room spins.

"How can little 'ol me know he was lying"
While I can't answer for you, for myself I will say this: Instead of taking what the tv news fed me, I dug a little deeper, did a little more studying, opened my mind to alternative possibilities.
In short, I took the responsibility of being an American citizen to heart and used the education given to me by my society to come to a better understanding of what my government was up too.

But, I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one.
Remember, these people have NEVER made a single mistake, at least in their minds.

But hate the sins.
Will I ever get an apology? Probably not. Those people must be so embarrassed that I hardly expect them to be able to look me in the eye.
But I will forever stand proud knowing that I am the true Patriot who really wants my country to be the best it can be and not given to hiding behind lies, fearful of the truth.
