"Independent" 911 Commission did more harm than good
This commission was custom designed to shift the focus off what really happened on 911 and onto well known systemic defects in our intelligence agencies. The prerequisite of not ascribing individual blame, allowed the commission to dwell in the land of generalities, and avoid troublesome facts (the devil is in the details). In my opinion it was a sham, charged with creating a bureaucratic solution to a bureaucratic failure.

The institution of Enron had a lot of systemic problems as well, I guess that means we should let Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling go.

1. it was nothing but eyewash
It protects the gulity, obscures the truth, (consider how much salient information was left out of this "report") and provides rationale for Patriot Act II.

It's pure, worthless, unadulterated garbage, and we are footing the bill for it.

6. yeah, and how many people know about
the Kean/bin Laden connections

would he EVER have made it onto the commission if that had gotten out?

or that Gorelick's law firm is defending Prince Mohammed al Faisal in the suit by the 9/11 families. The families contend that al Faisal has legal responsibility for the 9/11 attacks

this is common knowledge, but not knowledge that gets widespread play

and then, there's always Zelikow

4. Yup.
We need another investigation, and another, and another, until the whole truth and nothing but the truth is known. This one was just the beginning. The 3,000 lives lost that day demand nothing less.

5. I don't think we need another investigation. Greg Palast, Mike Moore,
and many others have gathered enough documentation to write BOOKS, make movies, and go through alternative media to publicize WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.
I hope there is a coordinated effort by freedom loving REVELS to get the truth out.

8. But we need a politician who will prosecute...
I agree that will only come from pressu8re form outside the Gov or media.

If they can bring down the berlin wall and end communism in the USSR we can get to the people who did 9-11.

11. Sorry, LittleApple, you're wrong
We need another investigation. An official investigation using sources like the ones you mentioned, to get to the bottom of this. Then and only then, will people in high government positions pay their debt to society for their negligence and/or complicity.

Bring it on!

12. I guess I was talking about RIGHT NOW. We need something right now.
A real investigation won't occur inmediately and if Bush* steals the election again IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

BUT, my guess is the sheeple will be infatuated with that big fat book, at least in the short term, which is all they want, to help the chimp

it'll be just like the first Warren Report (this is about the eighth), where folks just ate it up at first, until the questions started getting some publicity

if the polls showed disbelief, he may mention it

but, if there's no outcry, he won't make an issue

9. "this was just the beginning"
"This is a straight-talking, tough, bold, nonpartisan report," said Lieberman, who supported the creation of the panel along with McCain over initial White House objections.

"But we all know this report is only the end of the beginning," Lieberman said.

10. Lieberman owes us an apology
Better yet, he ought to just become a republican....

He was wrong about Iraq and he belittled we democrats who tried to inform him of his error on the matter. As far as I know he was, and is wrong about 9/11, he was wrong about selection 2000, he's just flat out not to be listened too. Cheney him.
