Pics of Bush everywhere being handed the 9-11 Report: Who is he kidding?
He's not going to read this thing!!

He never wanted the Commission, he tried to scuttle it, and he didn't cooperate with it (despite what the White House says). Hell, he didn't even read the 90-page Fall 2002 National Intelligence estimate (NIE) detailing the level of threat posed to the U.S. by Iraq, and HE was the one making the case for war with Iraq!!

And we're supposed to believe he's going to read THIS?

Who the HELL does he think he's kidding!

1. Why give the "collector's leather-bound edition" of that report...
To someone who can't even read "My Pet Goat" and figure it out!?:eyes:

3. I "like" the picture of Kean autographing copies of the report...
Edited on Fri Jul-23-04 11:10 AM by Brotherjohn
... WTF!!! This should be the most somber "book release" ever. It details how we failed and 3000 people died as a result.

And there he is chumming it up with "fans", signing copies of the report.

What kind of world has this become?!

ON EDIT; I forgot the actual picture:

7. Disgusting
They sell postcards here of the WTC with smoke coming out of it and collapsing. I don't get it.

11. "fans" at book signing
I believe the blonde woman on the left is one of the victim's wives who urged the creation of the 9/11 commission

15. Okay, I wasn't aware that one of the people was a family member.
Still, the idea of "book signing" for this book strikes me as unseemly at best.

4. "It appears to be a book of some kind;
has lots of words in it." Should make a nice doorstop for him.

10. Did anyone see Jimmy Kimmel last night?
My friend is telling me they had footage of Bush getting briefed on the report and then walking up the tunnel into the white house followed by his aides. Supposedly with the angle, he thought he wasn't on camera anymore but you could still see him and he throws the report either at one of the aides or just at the ground. I know this is very vague and all, if anyone saw this and could somehow link it up, it'd be appreciated.

16. Oh I would LOVE to see that. My guess is that's his real attitude.
He couldn't give a rat's ass about this report. From his behavior in attempting to scuttle the Commission's creation, to his repeated stonewalling when asked for documents, that attitude is the only logical conclusion.

"Co-operating with the Commission". Yeah, right, Bush. That's why they (you know, the bipartisan commission YOU appointed) had to repeatedly issue statements expressing exactly the opposite and urging you to stop stonewalling.

Bush is so smug that he thinks everything he has done and is doing on the world stage is absolutely right. This report means absolutely nothing to him.

END OF RANT.

14. As David Letterman said, "Bush wasted no time reading it"
I didn't find out a thing that hasn't already been out there. Who are they trying to fool with the so-called non-partisan report?
Still unsure why it wasn't mentioned about Shrub starting a war with the wrong country by lying to everyone.

17. A vulture photo-opping the release of the 9-11 Report
You are one disgusting perverted cold-blooded son-of-a-bitch, George.

And what's the deal with keeping the tie and changing the suit jacket? In each photo, he's matching colors with the one he's shaking hands with. Is this to signify some kind of unity with each party? Or is it just a lighting difference?

:wtf:
