Man, I had a lot of bad experiences this week with conservative assholes.
I just have to vent this. lol. I play tennis competitively (heading to college in NC next year on a tennis scholarship). Anyway, I was playing in a USTA tournament this weekend in a nearby town (Tupelo, MS). I had to withdraw from the tournament because I have lower back problems, sciatica, along with a few other conditions. My "friend" was telling her father about my having to withdraw and he responded, saying "she deserves it with those pinko democrat bumper stickers on her car". If that wasn't bad enough, I was driving home and a guy in a big redneck truck shouted down through my sunroof (that's how big his freakin' truck is) "Nice bumper stickers, dyke!". Man, I've got to get out of this state.

"How dare you smear the noble redneck heritage, a proud history that stretches far back, encompassing both treason AND sedition, which I'm told is 40% less likely in say, Wisconsin."

5. But the same people who show up and complain about anti-Southern
bias are the first to complain about the DNC being held in Boston. Yankee bashing is A-OK around here!

I plan on submerging myself in burning oil to atone for my sins, possibly whilst quoting Leviticus from memory. Particularly the passages about being unclean, having to break all the clay pots in the house, and eating shellfish.

2. Think thats bad? I just got this from a relative?
Be sure of what you hear..........

After his death, Osama bin Laden went to heaven. There
he was greeted by George Washington, who proceeded to
slap him across his face and yell at him, "How dare
you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry appoached and punched Osama in the nose
and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you
failed."

James Madison entered, kicked Osama in the groin and
said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide
for the common defense!"

Thomas Jefferson came in and proceeded to beat Osama
many times with a long cane and said, "it was evil men
like you that provided me the inspiration to pen the
Declaration of Independence!"

These beatings and thrashings continued as John
Rudolph, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans
came in and unleashed their anger on the Muslim
terrorist leader.

As Osama lay bleeding and writhing in unbearable pain,
an Angel appeared. Bin Laden wept and said to the
Angel, "This is not what you promised me!"

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72
Virginians waiting for you in heaven. What did you
think I said?"

.................See what I mean... Fuqin Psycho
Boy for Being Christian, They sure are big on the whole turn your cheek thing?

4. Sorry, you're having such a bad week with the freepers
and all. And good luck at college in NC!

Ignorance is rampant in this Country and not just in the South...we got our bush lovin', fauxsux watchers up here in New York, too.

6. MS is about as bassackwards and redneck
as you can get.

Bless ya, you poor thing! Bad enough being in pain wihout having rednecks harassing you at the same time.

Get outta there asap! NC might be slightly better, at least.

(and they did) you have every right to complain about it.

So sad that we have people who behave like that in this country.

15. Not all of MS - the Coast is not that bad. Rednecks are in all parts of
this nation, thus the popularity of country music, baseball caps, pick up trucks and weapons of all makes and models.

There are some enlightened inhabitants of the state of MS.

19. Sorry, shouldn't have posted something that stereotyped
individuals - didn't mean to offend and I do apologize. But as stereotypes go, let's fact it, not everyone in MS is a redneck.

Though if I ever here a nasty word about mullets in this thread, I shall develop a severe case of the vapors.

cold beer at one of my favorite restaurants on the Gulf Coast of MS and the schools of mullet in the back bay are very plentiful this time of year as they chase after the shrimp that are coming into the bay.

I will never say a nasty thing about mullet (or Biloxi bacon).

I think it gives the mullet a sort of aerodynamic contrast. Or something. Truly a spectacular sight this time of year.

24. But those types of mullets do not fry up as well as the biloxi bacon
mullet, though I have heard some comment that they believe that their brains may be a little fried. Come to think of it, I have seen some of those mullets swimming in the bay, but I wouldn't go so far as saying that they were swimming in schools.

25. are you saying big handfuls of human hair don't fry well? Try more butter.
The pleasing smell of burning human hair is just about as enticing as sizzling bacon.

14. Here's a Bumper Sticker For You
To help assimilate with those folks:

http://www.cafeshops.com/impeachw.11650711

I wore one of these impeach bush shirts to our local farmer's market on Wednesday. We're pretty liberal around here, the only vocal negative response was from some acne-scarred, short haired teenage lads, who started yelling at me "Bush is the MAN!".. Had I been thinking on my feet, I would have asked them, "Um, how, exactly is he the man? Do you kids know what the deficit is?" As it was, I think I told them "well, sorry, he's going down." They didn't like that much. Too bad.

Anyway, speak your mind- even if your voice shakes. There's probably others who feel the way you do who are emboldened to speak out by the fact that you make your views public.

the folks you ran into think. There are some decent, liberal folks here. Try to visit the coast, it is a more progressive area.

18. Don't worry
about it. I am a gay male in East Tennessee, Morristown to be exact. Lots of homophobia here. Funny thing though, usually the very people who down gay people are usually gay or gay curious. LOL!! I support you all the way. Even one of my best friends and sometimes partner, is a married and die hard Republican and he downs gay people all the time. But he sure does come calling when he wants some companionship.

23. I'm sorry you had a hard time...
...but you can go anywhere in this country and find the same kinds of stupid redneck jerk-offs. I live in NC now, but I grew up in southern California. I encountered more racism there than I do here, especially toward Hispanics. At the very least, folks in North Carolina are more polite.

I find it hilarious when I visit California how the folks are just amazed that I can stand being in the midst of all those shoeless, racist hicks. I hope after 15 years in North Carolina I've dispelled a lot of their ignorant assumptions.

Dumb-as-hell butt-crack billy-bobs are all over, not just here in the South. We'd all do well to remember that and not start regional conflicts on this blog. We are all Americans and Democrats first.
