Crack Campaign Ace Susan Estrich Sez: Bashing Bush at Con "Kiss of Death" |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 03:09 AM by thebigidea
She chimed in with Rich "My Weekly National Review Reader Editor" Lowry and that alternate Maria Liasson clone on FOX just now, they all seem to agree that any mention of Bush's glorious record should be off limits.
Goodness, it sure would be devastating to John Kerry if a single speaker said a single sentence criticizing George Bush, its not as if they need to defeat him in an election or anything.
I think this "don't attack bush when he's hanging himself" argument can be taken a tad too far.
Can you imagine someone making the argument that criticizing Kerry at the RNC convention would be the kiss of death?
I'm just so glad we have such warm friends at the FOX News Channel that seem to have the best interests of the Democratic Party at heart.

Susan has worn out her welcome with me. I painfully stood by in 1988, when refusing to fight back became the Democratic dogma that she helped craft.
She's the epitome of the "ivory tower," and I've had enough.
No more.

11. I suspected a long time ago this woman is a PUB.... a paid PUB MOLE |
|
who screwed up Michaels campaign and now she is set on doing the same with Kerry.
And, those Pubs are not exactly kind to the Kerry/Edwards Team effort whatwith all those Neg Ads.
Susan should be given to the next ET ship to Earth looking for specimens.

12. many people feel sorry for Bush when he is "bashed" |
|
they see it as him being picked on or bullied or some other shit. they don't feel the same when it's done to others like Kerry.
Kerry and Edwards will mostly present their own agenda at the convention. they will try to get people to vote FOR them.

18. No, Kerry HAS to "act Presidential and articulate a strong vision" |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 01:35 AM by thebigidea
Now, the ACTUAL (well, acting, really) PRESIDENT gets a pass on this "acting Presidential" stuff. Only candidates for President have to act Presidential.
Presidents get to be lying douchebags.
And Kerry's articulations and strong visions, if you listen to the pundits, should never include the inconvenient fact that our current President has no vision whatsoever and has flushed our country down the toilet. This would upset... uh, who, really? Oh yeah, pundits who get checks from Republican outfits.

|
Its just fine to diss an honorable man like John Kerry but if we diss their baby George, they act like fucking whiners, what is it about that man that they love so much anyhow, I can see sort of why they loved Reagan but Bush II, you gotta be kidding me, the man is a dumbass and doesnt know anything but that its amazing he won running against prosperty and peace.

19. This from the woman who defended Ahhnold for groping because the |
|
charges were "old". When asked how she can work for Fox her standard response is "are you hiring me?". Great. Her butt smooching also garnered a gig at Newsmax. My take is that she follows the money.

20. Estridge did a lot of LA talk radio; I always considered her a sellout |
|
Of course, considering that Gloria Alred--the real McCoy--got called a "whore" by John Kobylt on KFI radio, it makes sense for Susan to protect herself from the neocon talkshow hosts with "moderate" coloring. Like a chameleon.
That works for her but not the party.
As for Kerry, the man needs to show some spirit. Tell the American people what Bush has done to this country--and to our reputation worldwide.

|
I suppose the pundits will revive the "Crazy Gore!" theme no matter what he says. He could stand there, quietly combing his hair, and Hannity would call it a vicious attack on American Values.
