The 3 months of AWOL...
CNN just said that the "Whitehouse has acknowledged the President's lack of service during those months".

When did THAT happen? Are they talking about a recent acknowledgement? Or something that I missed along the way? What's their excuse for him missing 3 months of service and how is it not AWOL?

be a do over.

Michael Moore was right.

And FU Peter Jennings.

8. More Questions...
Who's the family friend who allegedly ran for Senate for whom Bush allegedly worked a campaign for?

Why not round up other campaign workers and ask them if Bush was around, or not?

This Bush story is FULL of holes.

11. Exactly...
Media never ask that question, or raise the issue.

Who was the Manchurian Candidate Bush allegedly camapaigned for?

2. I couldn't tell what they meant by "has"...
... Whether CNN meant "has (previously)" or "has (as a result of these documents)".

I don't remember any prior acknowledgement that they skipped his service requirements before.

7. ???? - the "I serve and showed up" is past story. Today it is
he did not show up.

It is a big story only if National Media wants to report it.

And Media whores already have the weekend end talking heads scripted - so I doubt we will hear a thing.

That is the advantage of a Friday dump!

:-)

15. That would be a "Flip Flop" right?
The admission from the Waffle House that * in fact did not show up for duty would seem to be a major FLIP FLOP! Hey "Librul" Media! How 'bout it? Is Bush* flip flopping now or what?

5. I heard that too
and I am wondering the same thing...doesn't awknowledging the "President's lack of service during those months" mean HE WAS FUCKING AWOL? GOD, will this man NEVER be punished for the shit he's done. Youd think our media would take this story and run with it....

6. Have there been threads on this?
Who has seen the records? On the news last night, one station said there was no new information. The other station said the records show that Bush was NOT PAID for three months, and possibly about eight months. In othere words, AWOL. Where is the thread, where are the articles?

and this is what I had to say about the matter:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=2052057&mesg_id=2052615

This is a dead issue. The media whores wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole!

Bu$h needs a good smack-down by vets over this.

Bu$h got out of sevice in Vietnam because he is a privileged fortunate son. While Bu$h was in the ANG, Kerry was earning medals in Vietnam. While Bu$h was AWOL, soldiers who were drafted because they could not get out of serving due to the fact that they did not have rich, politically connected parents were dying.

Last year, AWOL Bu$h personally ordered the invasion of a country that was not in any way an imminent threat to our country. Bu$h lied in order to begin this invasion.

So this chickenhawk POS, who got out of serving in Vietnam and was able to go AWOL without prosecution because he is a privileged rich boy, has personally sent American soldiers into battle for no reason, and over 900 American soldiers have died, and thousands more have been critically injured.

Every vet in our country needs to understand that Bu$h is a hypocrite and a disgrace, because he has sent American citizens to die in battle, for no good reason, when he himself was able to opt out of seeing military action because of the fact that he is a scared chickenshit rich boy.

What kind of Commander-in-Chief is that?

Vets for Kerry should start an email campaign so that every vet can understand this.

14. That's not what Bush* told Tim Russert:

From an NBC Meet the Press show:

Tim Russert: The Boston Globe and the Associated Press have gone through some of their records and said there’s no evidence that you reported to duty in Alabama during the summer and fall of 1972.

President Bush: Yeah, they're - they're just wrong. There may be no evidence, but I did report . . .

That from *'s commanding officer. Yet the right trotted out some "patriotic" hayseed who swore that he served with Bush and they played cards blah blah blah. Bush LIED.

18. "I can't remember what I did, but I wasn't flying......"
On June 26th this report appeared in the Dallas Morning News. “Campaigning Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Bush was asked about his 1972 service in that state. "I was there on a temporary assignment and fulfilled my weekends at one period of time," he said. "I made up some missed weekends." "I can't remember what I did, but I wasn't flying because they didn't have the same airplanes. I fulfilled my obligations."
